A clear site visit and conversation are often enough to produce an accurate estimate and a great finished result. Where design plans earn their value is on larger, multi-element projects where layout, sight lines, grading, and phasing need to be thought through carefully before anything is built.
We offer 3D renderings on projects where the investment justifies the design effort — typically larger patio and outdoor living projects, multi-element landscapes, or projects where the homeowner wants to visualize the result before committing. For smaller, more routine projects, a scaled plan or sketch is usually sufficient. We'll recommend the right level of design detail during the consultation.
Phased projects are common — many homeowners start with a patio and add a fire feature, planting, and lighting in subsequent seasons. A design plan created upfront helps ensure each phase integrates cleanly with what was built before. A basic site plan can typically be developed within a week or two of the initial site visit. 3D rendering packages for larger projects take 2–3 weeks depending on complexity and our current workload.
